With Execution from External Storage (EES), execute part programs from external memories.
EES enables the usage of external memory connected to a SINUMERIK controller like USB drives, network storages/serves and external PCs within the machines network.
The external memory is handled by the SINUMERIK controller like the internal CNC memory and provides all needed functionality and usability.
In addition in case of network storages/serves or external PCs more than one SINUMERIK controller can connect to the same file system and its CNC user programs at the same time.

Function
With Execution from External Storage (EES), it is possible to execute part programs from external memories without EXTCALL.
- Part program is executed directly from the external memory
- No restrictions regarding jump commands for a subprogram call (forward, backward jumps or loops)
- Subprogram call by program name, part program can be transferred to another machine 1:1
- The available memory on the machine is basically expanded to the size of the external memory
- Error correction possible without CNC reset
- Program access and change of several machines on a central part program
