Each NX application in the token pool consumes a defined number of tokens when in use. Total number of applications, and which specific applications, that can be checked out on top of the Base Application is limited by the number of tokens that the user has available.

There are a number of factors you will need to consider when deciding how many tokens you will need in the pool.

• Number of users accessing the pool
• “Daily use” NX products versus “occasional use” NX products
• Tokens are best used for occasional use products
• If you have a product you rely on daily in your workflow it may be better as a floating add-on
• Token pools are most cost-effective when there is a wide variety of NX applications needing to be run
• In general, if 4 or more add-ons are needed tokens are an attractive approach
• You can mix concurrent add-ons and tokens
• Part tokens, part floating add-on may give you most flexibility based on your use of applications
