Prompt and powerful protection against accidental collisions of machine components in all operating modes in additional channels of a SINUMERIK ONE controlled machine tool.

After setting up the software function it permanently protects in the background against possible collisions in the workspace of the machine. For this it monitors static and moving machine tool components in the CNC operating modes JOG, MDI and AUTO. Such components are accurately modeled as STL bodies (=standard output format of common CAD programs) with the following characteristics:

Bodies modeled as STL elements (STL=Standard Triangulation/Tessellation Language)
Up to 5000 STL elements
Number of monitored collision pairs up to 100

Software options for the 2nd to 10th channel, can be used in each module up to the max. number of channels (see
Maximum configuration machining channels)

Requirements: Protect MyMachine /3D STL (option S02), Machining channel, each additional (option C11 ... C19)
Configuration of kinematic chain and primitive bodies in Sinumerik setup area as a precondition (may require support of machine tool OEM or Siemens service)
